In its transparent state RavenWindowTM looks like an ordinary window from the inside. Free solar heat is allowed in to warm the building and occupants.

Once the set temperature is reached, RavenWindowTM goes into its tinted state and blocks the solar heat from entering the building reducing the need for air conditioning. Unlike blinds or other solar control devices, the occupant can still see outside.

No other product will save you more energy or cost you less over its lifetime; RavenWindowTM is quite simply the most energy-efficient window in the world. RavenWindowTM has a center-glass U value of 1.7 W/m2K (0.22 BTU/h-ft2-F), with a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of less than 0.17 in the tinted state.  And yet, in cold weather the same thermochromic glazing becomes highly transparent, raising the SHGC to 0.29 or higher.
